Our Disciplines

Classical Dance

Classical dance is a refined, highly technical discipline built on a set of precise positions and movements designed to convey elegance and grace. Marked by rigour and discipline, it features elements such as ballet work, pirouettes, and jumps, and it forms the foundation of many modern dance styles. Technique and posture are paramount, as are elevation work and full control of the body.

Modern Dance

Modern dance developed as a reaction against the rigidity of classical ballet, emphasising individual expression, fluidity, and the body’s natural movement. It employs a variety of techniques, including floor work and improvisation, to explore emotions and tell stories through movement. The modernity of this style allows great expressive freedom and the possibility of breaking with convention.
